CA MCLE Paralegal - 1.75
This program meets the California MCLE Paralegal requirement as specified in Business and Professions Code Section 6450(d).
LAURA CANADA LEWIS is an attorney with the law firm of Mullin Law, PC, where she focuses her practice in the areas of corporate and construction law, as well as real estate, franchising, and commercial litigation. Her first career, as a successful entrepreneur who built and divested businesses in residential real estate and construction, lends her a true understanding of the challenges and rewards of business ownership. Combining that experience with her skills as a lawyer, Ms. Canada Lewis provides commercial clients with legal representation that actively seeks reasonable, cost-effective solutions where possible, but is prepared to litigate when necessary. Beyond litigation, she has negotiated and contracted for the purchase and sale of several multi-million dollar business and real estate ventures. Ms. Canada Lewis also has handled numerous other transactions where she drafted and negotiated contracts relating to supply and distribution, sale and purchase of assets, construction, and development. She has reviewed and negotiated real property purchases, leases, sales, and has also worked with economic development boards for concessions and incentives related to land development. Additionally, she has developed experience navigating the regulations affecting her clients like labor/employment issues, safety regulations, and even cyber-security. Ms. Canada Lewis earned her J.D. degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law; and was recently named a Top Attorney in Dallas, Texas by D Magazine.
