MARCUS A. MANOS is a partner with the law firm of Nexsen Pruet LLC in its Columbia office, where he practices in complex and multi-district litigation, civil litigation, intellectual property litigation (including patents, trademarks, and copyrights), insurance, computers and software, trade secrets, financial services/lender liability litigation, shareholder/partnership disputes, public utility and cooperative litigation and regulation, and state government procurement/contract litigation. He has spoken on numerous occasions for professional groups on litigation, procurement/government contract issues, and intellectual property protection. Mr. Manos earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Virginia School of Law and his M.A. degree from the University of South Carolina. JACQUELINE A. MOSS is the sole practitioner at the Moss Law Firm, where she practices in the areas of employment, criminal defense, family court, and personal injury law. ELIZABETH C. MOULTRIE is a medical malpractice and elder abuse paralegal in the law firm of Kassel McVey in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina. Having worked as a personal injury paralegal for the bulk of her career, Ms. Moultrie has more than 20 years of experience in the field. She has a wealth of knowledge in trial notebooks and troubleshooting from the courtroom, as she regularly attends trials with the attorneys from her firm.
AMANDA N. PITTMAN is an attorney with McWhirter, Bellinger & Associates, P.A., where she practices in the areas of automobile accidents and all forms of personal injury. Ms. Pittman is currently a member of the South Carolina Bar, where she serves on the Professional Responsibility, Resolution of Fee Disputes, and Wellness committees. She is also a member of the Richland County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyers Association. TIM THAMES is eDiscovery Director at Legal Eagle, Inc., in Columbia, where he leads eDiscovery efforts, including preservation of data, forensic collections, analysis, electronic database management, and consulting services to clients throughout South Carolina and western North Carolina. He has more than 25 years of experience in litigation, with 13 years of focus on eDiscovery. Mr. Thames began his career as a paralegal and transitioned into litigation support and eDiscovery. He received his B.A. degree in Art History and Philosophy from the University of South Carolina. Mr. Thames has an ABA Approved Certificate in Litigation from the National Center for Paralegal Training in Atlanta, Georgia and has attained Litigation Support Project Management and Litigation Support Management certifications from Document Technologies, Inc., in Atlanta. He also holds certifications and experience with litigation support applications including Summation, Concordance, Relativity, LAW, Logikcull, Cicayda Reprise, Clearwell, Ipro Eclipse, Ipro Eclipse SE and eDiscovery and forensic collection utilities. Mr. Thames is well known in the South Carolina legal community from his work leading CLE's locally and at national conferences on topics including trial support, eDiscovery and applying technology resources in litigation. He has held leadership positions with local professional associations and is a member of the International Legal Technology Association, Association of Records Managers and Administrators, and the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists. In addition, Mr. Thames is an Adjunct Professor with Midlands Technical College in Columbia covering legal technology, law office management and eDiscovery coursework.
