BRYAN DAWSON is an attorney at the Dawson Law Group, P.C., where he represents individuals, companies, and insurers on the plaintiff and defense sides in a wide array of Oregon personal injury, UM/UIM, wrongful death, construction defect, and other construction disputes. Mr. Dawson has taken more than 100 Oregon cases through trial or arbitration and is experienced in discovery, motion practice, and appeals. He has tried cases in most of the circuit courts in northwest Oregon, and has argued before the Oregon Court of Appeals and twice before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has also served as an arbitrator in numerous cases involving bodily injury and breach of contract. Mr. Dawson received his B.A. degree from Claremont McKenna College, his M.A. degree from the University of Chicago, and his J.D. degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was an editor of the Law Review.
MICHAEL N. GUTZLER is a plaintiffs’ trial lawyer who practices in the areas of medical negligence, wrongful death, product liability and auto claims. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Mr. Gutzler is a member of OTLA (Oregon Trial Lawyers Association) and ATLA (now known as AAJ). He has spoken before various professional groups.
RUTH E. PEAKE is a litigation paralegal with Lane Powell PC, in Portland, Oregon. She has more than 20 years of experience in various areas of litigation. Ms. Peake's areas of expertise include complex civil litigation, employment law, government law, contract disputes, construction law, insurance defense coverage, products liability, securities fraud, and legal malpractice defense. She is proficient in the use of various software programs associated with discovery and trial preparation, including Sanction 4, Summation, Concordance, PowerPoint and Excel. Ms. Peake works closely with attorneys from inception to conclusion of a case and has attended numerous trials over the years. She has lectured for the Institute for Paralegal Education at several programs on trial preparation.
