JACK P. BURDEN is a shareholder in the law firm of Backus, Carranza & Burden, and is a litigation attorney with practice emphasis in general liability, product liability, food liability and commercial matters. His clients range from Fortune 200 companies to local business owners in Nevada. Mr. Burden is admitted to the State Bar of Nevada; the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He currently serves as an author of State Bar of Nevada Jury Instructions. He is also active in the State Bar of Nevada’s Continuing Education Committee and the Canyon Springs High School Advisory Board. Mr. Burden earned his B.S. degree from the University of Nevada, Reno's Reynolds School of Journalism and his J.D. degree from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
KAREN L. HANKS is an attorney with Kim Gilbert Ebron, where she concentrates her practice in the area of commercial litigation. She is a member of the State Bar of Nevada; the U.S. District Court, District of Nevada; and the Clark County Bar Association. Ms. Hanks earned her B.A. degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Catonsville, Maryland, and her J.D. degree from Syracuse University College of Law in Syracuse, New York.
VICTORIA TOKAR is a research librarian and assistant professor at the Wiener-Rogers Law Library at the University of Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law. She provides research assistance on a range of legal topics and serves as the student services librarian. Ms. Tokar received her B.A. degree from U.C. Berkeley, her M.L.I.S. degree with a concentration in law librarianship from the University of Washington, and her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
