RICHARD J. FOX is an attorney with the Law Office of Richard J. Fox PLLC, where his practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate, construction law, and property related litigation. As legal counsel, he represents buyers, sellers, and lenders in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including title searches and closings, as well as property dispute resolution through mediation and litigation. As a title insurance agent, Mr. Fox reviews title opinions and issues title insurance policies. He acts as counsel to multiple small businesses, with duties including contract drafting and negotiation, transactional work, corporate filings, and compliance issues. Mr. Fox has been a featured presenter at national and local continuing legal education (CLE) seminars on construction law, real estate law, landlord-tenant law, and title insurance for numerous providers of legal and professional education. He is admitted to practice in Vermont and Massachusetts, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Fox is a member of the Vermont, Massachusetts, and Chittenden County bar associations, and is an agent for Vermont Attorneys Title Corporation. He earned his B.A. degree from Rutgers College and his J.D. degree from The George Washington University Law School.
JEANNIE LIHS is a paralegal at Stoel Rives LLP, in Portland, Oregon, with more than 20 years of experience in the legal profession. She received her PACE® Registered Paralegal designation from the National Federation of Paralegal Associations (NFPA). Ms. Lihs assists multiple teams at Stoel Rives LLP, with a primary focus area of bankruptcy & creditors’ rights, particularly with respect to foreclosure matters, and regularly prepares proof of claims, motions for relief from stay, objections to chapter 13 plans, garnishments, foreign judgments, and much more. During the last several years, her role has expanded to include the real estate and financial transactions teams with title and survey review, due diligence research, real estate closings, and corporate formation and maintenance. She is a member of the Oregon Paralegal Association. Ms. Lihs earned her AAS from Mt. Hood Community College and her Paralegal certificate from Portland Community College.
