SHANNON ARMSTRONG is a paralegal with Goranson Bain Ausley Family Law in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Armstrong is a board certified paralegal in family law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She is a frequent author and speaker. Ms. Armstrong received her B.S. degree in business administration, with honors, from the University of Phoenix and her M.A. degree in education-curriculum & instruction, mathematics, from the University of Phoenix.
JACK R. LUELLEN is a principal of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C., and the location chair of the Denver office, where his practice is primarily dedicated to oil and gas law, with a particular emphasis on litigation. He has represented a broad range of clients in the oil and gas industry, including companies in exploration and production and midstream sectors, such as operators, gatherers, marketers and service sector entities. Mr. Luellen has represented clients in litigation relating to operations; royalties; environmental and contractual issues, including cases involving the removal of an operator under a joint operating agreement; the operation of a coal bed methane field; breaches of contracts, including purchase and sale agreements; surface use and access issues; natural gas processing; construction defects; and the calculation of, and deductions from, the payment and recovery of royalties. He advises clients in issues regarding "fracing" and well-specified activities, including matters relating to subsurface trespass, environmental concerns and insurance disputes. Mr. Luellen also regularly advises clients in connection with a wide variety of regulatory matters and represents clients before state regulatory agencies, including the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining. In oil and gas transactional matters, he has negotiated, drafted and closed on agreements for the purchase and sale of oil and gas assets; surface use agreements; processing, marketing and transportation agreements; equity financing for exploration and production companies; and leases, including royalties and retained interests, and joint operating agreements. Mr. Luellen is admitted to practice in California, Colorado, Utah, and North Dakota. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and Energy Mineral Law Foundation. Mr. Luellen earned his B.S. degree, with distinction, from Colorado State University; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School.
STACY PATTON is a paralegal and joined the firm of Bowles & Thomas, P.C., in September 1994, now Bowles & Martin, P.C. Ms. Patton manages Chicago Title of Texas for the law firm. She is also the legal secretary for the firm who specializes in Real Estate and Wills. Ms. Patton is a State of Texas licensed Notary Public.
