There are no enrollment prerequisites or admissions requirements for this course, and there is no exam or grading system. Satisfactory progress is based solely on attendance at the course. Credits may not be transferred. All refunds shall be paid within 30 days upon written notification from a student of cancellation or withdrawal. JACK R. LUELLEN is a principal of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, PC, and the location chair of the Denver office, where his practice is primarily dedicated to oil and gas law, with a particular emphasis on litigation. Mr. Luellen earned his B.S. degree, with distinction, from Colorado State University; and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School. Mr. Luellen is admitted to practice in California, Colorado, Utah, and North Dakota. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation and Energy Mineral Law Foundation.
JOSEPH R. PRESTON is a sole practitioner in McAllen, Texas with a general civil practice with an emphasis on real estate and probate. Mr. Preston has practiced law in the Rio Grande Valley since 1978. He served three years of active duty in the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps and continued his service in the Army Reserve, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel. From 1999 until 2010, he taught in the Legal Assisting/Paralegal Program at South Texas College, serving as paralegal instructor and department chair for several years. He has also previously lectured for the Institute for Paralegal Education on trial preparation. Mr. Preston is a member of the Hidalgo County Bar Association.
