No more than 3.0 hours of distance learning CLE credit may be earned during a reporting period.

There are no enrollment prerequisites or admissions requirements for this course, and there is no exam or grading system. Satisfactory progress is based solely on attendance at the course. Credits may not be transferred. All refunds shall be paid within 30 days upon written notification from a student of cancellation or withdrawal. KEVIN GILES is an attorney with Gorrell Giles PC, in Denver. Mr. Giles focuses his practice on many aspects of real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and leasing. He represents a broad range of clients, from national retailers and national real estate developers to local real estate investors. He guides clients through all stages of real estate, from the acquisition and development of raw land, to leasing commercial and residential buildings, to the disposition of clients’ real property. Mr. Giles is a member of the Denver and Colorado bar associations. He received his B.S. degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service and earned his J.D. degree from University of Colorado Law School.
TERYL R. GORRELL is an attorney with Gorrell Giles PC. Mr. Gorrell has practiced real estate law for more than 40 years. He represents developers and capital providers in the acquisition, structuring, development, operation, and disposition of a wide variety of projects throughout the United States. These include commercial, medical, residential, assisted living, affordable housing, condominium, industrial, retail, historic preservation, and mixed use developments. His work involves due diligence, purchase and sale agreements, capital and loan financing, conveyancing, title assurance, land use planning, entitlements, zoning, construction, management, leasing, and sales. These projects frequently require complex ownership and capital structuring involving joint ventures, limited liability companies, limited partnerships, corporations, foreign entities, public/private ventures, horizontal and vertical development lenders, and tax increment financing. Mr. Gorrell has served as special counsel to governmental entities on land use matters and has represented title insurance underwriters and agencies on title insurance, closing and regulatory matters. He has served as a lead valuation commissioner in complex condemnation proceedings. His work has included dispute resolution of real estate related claims, through litigation, arbitration and administrative proceedings, as well as serving as a mediator, arbitrator and expert witness in the resolution of complex real estate related disputes, including the evaluation of development structuring, financial and entity structuring and responsibilities, mortgage backed loan portfolios, land use matters, property rights, and title insurance matters. Mr. Gorrell has been selected as one of Colorado's Super Lawyers® every year since 2006 by Thomson Reuters. He has also been named as one of the Best Real Estate Lawyers in America every year since 2005.
