MICHELLE FOLSE is an employment law and litigation paralegal at Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt PC, where she works with the firm’s attorneys assisting clients on a broad spectrum of personnel and employment law matters. She is experienced in complex, litigation-related matters with a focus on employment-related claims ranging from employment discrimination and retaliation claims to wage and hour class actions. Ms. Folse has participated in representing employers in workplace investigations, EEOC charges, civil service appeals, DOL claims, as well as, handling union-related grievances and negotiations of collective bargaining agreements. She effectively and efficiently addresses clients’ HR operational needs, including preparation of handbooks, workplace policies, workplace training and employment contracts. Ms. Folse has experience dealing with eDiscovery, drafting legal documents and management of trial exhibits, discovery, and pleadings. She has also served as a legal assistant in her career, where she supervised more than 800 cases and assisted in all aspects of trial preparation and trial conclusion. She graduated from Louisiana State University, receiving her B.S. degree in psychology with a minor concentrating on sociology and criminology. Ms. Folse attended Tulane University, where she obtained her American Bar Association Certification of Paralegal.
RUSSELL D. GARRETT is a shareholder with Jordan Ramis PC. His practice focuses on creditors' rights, bankruptcy, commercial and bankruptcy litigation, and real estate matters. He is admitted to practice in both Oregon and Washington, the federal district bars in Oregon and Washington, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Garrett regularly represents creditors and bankruptcy trustees, and also serves as a Chapter 7 panel trustee for the Western District of Washington. He routinely speaks on practice issues relating to creditors' rights, bankruptcy, ethics, and insolvency matters. Mr. Garrett has authored many articles relating to creditor issues. He is a member of the Executive Committee for the Washington State Bar Association's Debtor-Creditor Section, and serves as a delegate to the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates. Additionally, Mr. Garrett previously served as a lawyer representative to the Ninth Circuit and as a trustee for the Federal Bar Association in the Western District of Washington. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Oregon and his J.D. degree from Willamette University College of Law, where he served as a member of the Law Review.
