NBI, Inc. is licensed by the New Hampshire Department of Education Office of Career School Licensing. There are no enrollment prerequisites or admissions requirements for this course, and there is no exam or grading system. Satisfactory progress is based solely on attendance at the course. Credits may not be transferred. All refunds shall be paid within 30 days upon written notification from a student of cancellation or withdrawal. Students receiving benefits from federal programs shall be subject to federal refund policies, rules and regulation. Student complaints should be directed to our office at (800) 930-6182. Upon exhausting all avenues with NBI, Inc. for resolution, students may file a complaint with the Office of Career School Licensing at (603) 271-6443.
ERIC BLEUEL is a paralegal with the Ventura County Counsel. He specializes in trial presentations, exhibit preparation and document production. Mr. Bleuel also prepares probate conservatorships, juvenile dependency briefs and responses to bail forfeiture motions. Mr. Bleuel also prepares QDROs pleadings. He has made presentations at attorney staff meetings on his areas of expertise. Mr. Bleuel is a member of the Ventura County Paralegal Association (current newsletter editor; former vice president) and is an active member in the LinkedIn group, The Paralegal Society. He received his bachelor's degree in social ecology from the University of California at Irvine and his master's degree, in public administration, from California State University at Northridge.
DR. GAVIN W. MANES is a nationally recognized expert in e-discovery and digital forensics. He is currently the CEO of Avansic, a firm that provides the legal, business, and government sectors with e-discovery, digital forensics, data preservation, and online review services. Dr. Manes founded this Tulsa-based company in 2004 after graduating with his Doctorate in Computer Science degree and serving as a professor at the University of Tulsa. There he led the creation of nationally recognized research efforts in digital forensics and telecommunications security. In growing Avansic, Dr. Manes strives to create a scientific approach to ESI processing in order to make e-discovery more effective and efficient for clients. By designing a laboratory that combines industry standard programs with custom software, Avansic can create more useful data sets. Dr. Manes has served as an expert witness for many legal proceedings through courtroom testimony, depositions and consulting with attorneys on data preservation issues. He has given hundreds of presentations to law firms, corporate officers, legal conferences and judges on the latest topics in e-discovery. Dr. Manes has briefed the White House, Department of the Interior, the National Security Council, and the Pentagon on computer security and forensics issues.
