THOMAS P. BRANIGAN is the managing partner with the law firm of Bowman and Brooke LLP. Mr. Branigan is a trial lawyer. He has spent his entire legal career in the courtroom, where he has tried cases from coast to coast. Through his national trial practice, he has appeared as trial or lead counsel in over 30 states, and he has obtained major verdicts and judgments for automotive OEMs and suppliers, major financial institutions and international franchisors. Mr. Branigan routinely speaks and writes about issues that are important to his clients and his practice, including autonomous driving technology, cybersecurity, and is the co-author of Michigan Product Liability and Automobile No-Fault Reform Legislation. Mr. Branigan earned his B.A. degree from Wayne State University and his J.D. degree from Michigan State University College of Law. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Society of Automotive Engineers, the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel, the American Bar Association, the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association and the Oakland County Bar Association.
NICOLAS CAMARGO is a senior attorney with Foster Swift Collins & Smith PC, and a part-time magistrate serving in the 52/3 District Court in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Mr. Camargo focuses his practice on probate administration and estate planning, with a specialization in probate litigation, will contests and trust contests. He also represents various mid-sized businesses in day-to-day transactional matters, as well as their commercial litigation needs. Mr. Camargo, formerly an Oakland County assistant prosecutor, has tried numerous cases and has represented several state agencies, such as the Michigan Department of Human Services and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality. He is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan and in all Michigan state courts. Mr. Camargo is also admitted to practice before the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. CHAD D. ENGELHARDT is a member of Goethel Engelhardt, PLLC, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He practices in the areas of medical malpractice and automobile/trucking negligence. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Engelhardt served as an officer with a large law enforcement agency for over 12 years, and is licensed as a professional investigator by the state of Michigan. He serves on the leadership council of the Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, and he previously served on the SBM Representative Assembly. Mr. Engelhardt serves as the Michigan Association for Justice's education chair and as co-chair of the Medical Malpractice Committee. He has been named a Top 100 Super Lawyer and a Top 50 Consumer Lawyer by Super Lawyers; a Top 40 Under 40 and a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association; a Top Lawyer in the areas of medical malpractice, personal injury, and professional liability by DBusiness magazine; one of the Top Young Attorneys in Michigan by the New York Times; and an Up and Coming Lawyer by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. He has also been a guest lecturer for the University of Michigan Law School's trial practice course, and he is a regular speaker on medical negligence and litigation issues. MICHAEL P. HERZOFF is a senior litigation attorney in the defense/complex litigation department of Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A., based in the Michigan office. Mr. Herzoff earned a B.B.A. degree from Michigan State University, with honors; and his J.D. degree, with honors, from DePaul University College of Law. He has more than 25 years of experience in the practice of commercial and civil litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, including extensive experience in the area of creditor’s rights, and real property. He has successfully collected on six figure and seven figure judgments, and has successfully defended lenders in lender liability matters, title claims issues and complex recovery matters. Mr. Herzoff also specializes in recovering assets which have been fraudulently transferred and/or hidden. He is a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association (Eastern District of Michigan). He is licensed in the state courts of Michigan and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court (Eastern and Western districts of Michigan), the U.S. Bankruptcy Court (Eastern and Western districts of Michigan), the U.S. Court of Appeals (Sixth Circuit), and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana.
