CARL E. FORSBERG is a shareholder with Forsberg & Umlauf, P.S. His defense litigation practice emphasizes personal injury, general liability, analysis of first and third-party coverage issues, and the defense of alleged insurance bad faith matters. He enjoys teaching and regularly participates as an instructor for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, trial practice and deposition skills training seminars, and also as an adjunct professor teaching trial practice at the University of Washington School of Law. In 2011, Mr. Forsberg was invited to teach trial advocacy skills with Justice Advocacy Africa, in Nairobi, at the Kenya School of Law. Over the past decade, he has served on the King County Bar Association's Judicial Screening, Judicial Conference and Judicial Selection committees. Mr. Forsberg is a past chair of KCBA's Judicial Evaluation Committee. In 2010, he received recognition as the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers, Defense Attorney of the Year, and in 2013 he received King County Bar Association’s Outstanding Lawyer award. He has been named to Washington's Super Lawyer's list the past 17 years and to Washington's Top 100 attorneys list in 2010, 2011, 2013-2018. Mr. Forsberg earned his undergraduate degree from Gonzaga University and his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law.
MATTHEW KAMINSKI is the managing attorney with Yakima Law, PLLC, and his main areas of practice are family law and civil litigation. Mr. Kaminski earned his B.A. degree from the University of Florida and his J.D. degree from Florida A&M's College of Law, graduating in the top ten percent of his class. He is admitted to practice law in Florida and all Washington courts. Mr. Kaminski is dedicated to bettering the community through volunteer work now as the vice president of the board for Yakima Volunteer Attorney Services (VAS). He has also worked with King County Bar Association's Housing Justice Project, Kinship Care, and family law pro-bono programs. He volunteers his time with the Legal Voice's Self-Help Committee, where he develops legal guides and speaks with community groups to raise awareness of the Legal Voices's services.
VICKI L. OSBORN is a litigation paralegal for Dorsey & Whitney LLP. She has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of electronic discovery and ESI issues, complex civil litigation, and trial. Ms. Osborn works on many different cases involving products liability, government contracting, construction defect, labor and employment, and educational funding. She assists legal teams in the development of discovery issues and strategies related to electronic discovery management, including identification, preservation and collection of electronic data, budget analysis and vendor evaluation, and coordination of review and production of electronically stored information. Ms. Osborn also assists legal teams in all aspects of trial preparation, including exhibit and witness preparation, presentation of exhibits at trial using trial director, and management of trial logistics. She previously worked for the King County Prosecutor's Office, the Seattle office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and Foster Pepper PLLC; as well as the Phoenix, Arizona, office of Bowman and Brooke LLP, for clients such as Amazon.com, Ford, Toyota, U-Haul, and Expedia. She earned her M.A. degree from the University of Phoenix, her American Bar Association Approved Paralegal Certification from the Arizona Paralegal Institute, and her B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ms. Osborn is a frequent lecturer for the Institute for Paralegal Education (IPE).
IDA L. WILLIAMSON is a paralegal for the law firm of Cozen O’Connor, where she specializes in litigation, trial practice, insurance defense, personal injury, premises and product liability, and aviation law. Ms. Williamson has been in the paralegal field for more than 30 years and currently emphasizes on discovery, medical record review, research, mediation, and trial practice. She conducts medical research, legal and factual research, investigations and client interviews. Ms. Williamson also prepares medical chronologies, deposition summaries, pleadings, memoranda, witness and exhibit lists, digital and hard copy trial exhibits, and trial notebooks, as well as attending trial. She attended Broward College in Fort Lauderdale.
